Your Movie or Concession certificate will be accepted at any participating theater at any show time. Your certificate is valid for any film of your choice unless there is a specific movie listed on your certificate.
Please note, your certificate is only valid through the expiration date listed or until the specific movie is no longer in theaters (whichever comes first). If your certificate is expired or the specific movie listed on your certificate is no longer playing at any participating theaters in your area, your certificate cannot be accepted or replaced.
Can't find a participating theater within 30 miles? No problem. Just go to the theater closest to you, pay, and send us your receipt and certificate. After verification we will reimburse you.
Did a participating theater mistakenly turn you away? No problem. Just send us your receipt and certificate. After verification we will reimburse you.
Refunds/reimbursements MUST be postmarked within one week of the certificate's expiration date in order for them to be honored.

1. How do I redeem my certificate?
Please bring your certificate to a participating theater. Present your certificate to the cashier as payment for your movie ticket - have a photo ID as the cashier may ask for it. Your certificate is only valid for the movie or information specified on the certificate and only through the expiration date listed. The movie certificate may not be substituted, exchanged, sold or redeemed for cash or other goods or services.
2. I was turned away from the theater: What do I do?
First, make sure that your certificate is not expired and that you went to a participating theater listed on this site. If the participating theater has mistakenly not accepted your certificate, please mail your certificate and theater receipt along with a letter of explanation to Fandango at: 407 N. Maple Drive, Suite 300 Beverly Hills, CA 90210 (Attn: Customer Service). Upon receipt we will review your request and, if appropriate, reimburse you for the amount you paid at the theater up to the value indicated on your certificate.
3. There are no theaters close to me: What do I do?
If your certificate is for a specific movie, then the site will only show theaters that are listed as showing that movie. If there are no theaters listed, then the movie may not be showing in your area. Unfortunately, we have no control over what theaters will be showing the movie. Please note, your certificate is only valid through the expiration date listed or until the specific movie is no longer in theaters (whichever comes first). If the specific movie listed on your certificate is no longer playing at any participating theaters in your area, your certificate cannot be replaced. If your certificate is valid for any movie, and the closest participating theater is more than 30 miles away from your home, then you may go to any theater close to you, pay to see the movie, and then send us your receipt and the original certificate for reimbursement. Please send your certificate and receipt within one week of its expiration date (at the latest) with a letter of explanation to Fandango at: 407 N. Maple Drive, Suite 300 Beverly Hills, CA 90210 (Attn: Customer Service).
4. Can I go to a different movie theater than the one I selected?
and enter in your zip code and the specific locator code appearing on your certificate, and this will give you a list of all the theaters that will accept your movie certificate. You are welcome to attend any theater listed under that specific locator code.
5. The theater's admission price is more than the value of my movie certificate. Will they still accept my movie certificate?
Yes, but you are responsible to pay the difference between the certificate value and the theater's admission price using cash or a credit card.
6. The theater's admission price is less than the value of my movie certificate. Can I use the remaining amount to buy concessions or for multiple admissions?
No. No credit or change will be given for any unused portion of a certificate. Your certificate is only valid according to the restrictions stated on the certificate.
7. I selected a movie theater in my area, so why does the movie certificate include a different address?
The address appearing on the certificate is the address for Fandango and it is not related to the theater you selected. The address is for theater use only, and will be used when the theater processes your certificate for payment.
8. I can't find my locator code.
Your locator code is a five digit number sometimes followed by a letter (ex. 12345A) and it can be located on your certificate.
9. Can I use my movie certificate to purchase advance tickets online?
The certificates are not valid to use to buy tickets online. The certificates are only valid at a participating theater's box office. If the movie theater is willing to sell tickets in advance then you may use your certificate to do so. However this can only be done in-person at the movie theater box office.
10. My certificate has expired. Can it be replaced?
The certificates are limited time offers which coincide with the release of specific movies or promotions. Unfortunately, we are not authorized to exchange, replace, renew, or refund any expired certificates once the promotion has ended or the specific movie is no longer in theaters.
11. I have a question or complaint about a movie theater.
Fandango operates independently from the theaters. If you have questions regarding topics such as available theater amenities, ticket category age policies, or when a particular movie will be coming to your location, you should contact your local theater directly.
